SEXUAL HEALTH/CONTRACEPTIVE INFORMATION AND ADVICE
With the high publicity that sexual health has been given, most people have some idea of what is safe sex and what is not. However, many choose to ignore the advice and consequently STI's (Sexually Transmitted Infections) are a major health concern within the UK. Often with life threatening implications. It is your responsibility and yours alone to protect yourself from such infections.

The condom is probably the most common form of contraception and it is also the best form of protection against sexually transmitted infection. It is easy to use and is freely available at family planning clinics, GUM clinics, doctor's surgeries and other venues.
There are also several other ways of preventing unplanned pregnancy and it is always advisable that you discuss the matter with your doctor, practice nurse or your family planning clinic.
